Our bars are open from one hour before a show begins and are the perfect place to enjoy a pre-show or interval drink.
We strongly recommend that you pre-order your interval drinks so that they will be ready and waiting for you at the interval. You can pre-order your drinks at any open theatre bar.
The main Foyer Bar offers a streamlined selection of beer, wines, spirits and soft drinks. Its emphasis is on getting your drinks as swiftly as possible, taking away the minutes spent queuing and leaving you with more time to relax with friends before the show.
Two further bars are open on busy nights, in the Royal Foyer and Derngate Circle. The Theatre Shop is your destination if you have a sweet tooth, offering range of confectionery, grab bags and ice creams. We sell a variety of flavours of Marshfield Farm ice cream, including plant based ice cream.
We proudly support local suppliers, serving Wharf Distillery’s English Single Malt Grain Spirit, Stonyfield Wine’s Sparkling wine, Phipps IPA, Saxby’s Cider and various flavoured gins from Warner’s Distillery.
Programmes for all shows performing at Royal & Derngate for one week or longer can be purchased at every bar.
Our Members benefit from a 10% discount at all our bars – just show your membership card when ordering.

Nut Aware Venue – Royal & Derngate is a Nut Aware Venue. This means that we will not sell or promote any types of nuts or foods containing high nut content and our staff will participate in allergy awareness training to help minimise the risk of any person suffering a severe allergic reaction in the venue.
