Russell Brand takes some life lessons from William Shakespeare in a brand new theatre show this December, directed by Ian Rickson.
Russell Brand is a comedian, actor, author and podcaster. He can currently be seen on our screens starring in the HBO series Ballers. His Netflix comedy special, Re:Birth, will be released at the end of the year.
Ian Rickson has directed work at the National Theatre, Young Vic, in the West End and Royal Court, where he was Artistic Director. While there, his productions included Jerusalem, The Weir and The Seagull. Most recently he directed Translations at the National Theatre. He also works with PJ Harvey and Kate Tempest on their music and poetry shows.
Tony Howard is the Shakespearean consultant. He is Professor of English at Warwick University and leads the Multicultural Shakespeare Project exploring the achievements of Black and Asian artists working on plays in Britain.
The running time is 90 minutes with no interval. Latecomers will be admitted approximately 17 mins into the show. There is no re-admission.
