The Northampton Symphony Orchestra’s celebrations of its 125th anniversary season culminate with a gala concert featuring renowned pianist Peter Donohoe, who joins the orchestra for Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 2.
The concert features Walton’s jubilant Crown Imperial and is capped with Strauss’s monumentally epic Alpine Symphony. Also featured will be a specially commissioned piece composed to celebrate our 125th year.

Northampton Music Festival
This event is part of the Northampton Music Festival which takes place Northampton town centre from midday on Sun 16 June 2019.
Now in its twelfth year, the 2019 Northampton Music Festival is a celebration of the town and its exciting music culture. Driven by a group of local individuals who share the same passion for all thing’s music, the goal is to enhance the profile of Northampton town by showcasing its electrifying and diverse music.
This year the world-famous band The Blockheads will be headlining this year’s festival and it will certainly be one to remember. The 2019 event will feature six stages positioned throughout the town at Market Square, All Saints Piazza, Abington Street, NN Contemporary Gallery, Guildhall Courtyard and the Platform.
The festival starts at midday on Sun 16 June for this FREE festival and celebrate all things music.
