Directed by Ellen Kent, this brand new production is traditionally staged and features beautiful sets and costumes.

La Bohème is one of the most romantic operas ever written. It tells the tragic tale of the doomed, consumptive Mimi and her love for a penniless writer.

The set reflects the Bohemian art of the period and will include, a brass band, snow effects and Musetta’s dog will also make an entrance.

This classic tale of Parisian love and loss features many famous arias including Your Tiny Hand is Frozen, They Call Me Mimi and Musetta’s Waltz.

Sung in Italian with English surtitles.


Dog Auditions

Ellen Kent Productions are looking for local dogs with star quality!

The pet dog needs to be well behaved and small – and his owner must be prepared to go onstage in costume to look after him or her.

Anyone who would like their dog to be considered should email a photograph to Ellen Kent at [email protected] or contact Ellen by phone on 07775 626869, by 17 February.  Applicants should include their contact number and address as well as the breed, height, weight, age and name of their dog. Ellen will contact the successful owner several weeks before the performance.
