COME TO WHERE I’M FROM

Since 2010 writers from across the UK have returned to their home-towns to pen plays about the places that shaped them. These plays commissioned by Royal & Derngate and Paines Plough are performed by the playwrights themselves, coming home to tell their tale. Now Come To Where I’m From visits Northants to invite four of the city’s finest playwrights to join this celebrated project.
60 MILES BY ROAD OR RAIL

It’s 1968 and Northampton is on the verge of great change: it is becoming a ‘New Town’. The Northampton Development Corporation has been established. An advertising jingle has been re-released as a pop record. But as thousands of families flock in, some are concerned that Northampton’s identity is starting to slip away…
Directed by Andy Routledge and created with local artists and local people, 60 Miles By Road Or Rail presents a playful retelling of Northampton’s past.

THE RELUCTANT DRAGON

Munchkins & Monsters share a new work-in-progress version of The Reluctant Dragon. Featuring playful puppetry, dance, songs and much more, this playful show invites audiences to a world of fantasy you’ll never want to leave.
