Arnold Festival Gala Concert With The BBC Concert Orchestra

To end the Annual Malcolm Arnold Festival weekend, this year’s spectacular Gala Concert features the wonderful BBC Concert Orchestra, conducted by Keith Lockhart, with the great Julian Bliss as soloist.

The programme features Bernstein’s ever popular Symphonic Dances from West Side Story and Malcolm Arnold’s powerful 4th Symphony, which was much inspired by it. Julian Bliss will be playing Copland’s Clarinet Concerto – a work much admired by Malcolm Arnold – and Arnold’s own witty and virtuosic Scherzetto for clarinet and orchestra.
