Unforgettable Gift

We are pleased to be working once again with the Northamptonshire Community Foundation and Lamport Hall’s Sir Gyles Isham Trust on this year’s Unforgettable Gift appeal campaign. Along with the generosity of our audience members, this yearly collaboration enables us to gift hundreds of free tickets for our Christmas shows to children and young people who live in, or are at risk of child poverty.

After a series of annual campaigns which started in 2015, our appeal has meant we have now been able to give away 1300 tickets to local families in need, making the Christmas period more magical for a considerable number of disadvantaged children across Northamptonshire.

Mandy Hammersley, Co-ordinator at Home-Start Northampton, who works with many families who benefitted from the appeal last year, said:
“I only wish you could hear the surprise and delight of our families when they are offered ‘Unforgettable Gift’ tickets. This wonderful opportunity not only enables our families to see spectacular live performances, which would otherwise be out of their reach, but also to enjoy special family togetherness at this time of year.”

As last year, we are now inviting customers to add a gift-aided donation of £10 when making a booking, which Royal & Derngate will match in order to provide tickets to our Christmas 2019 productions; Cinderella, Pippi Longstocking and The Further Adventures of the Owl and the Pussy-cat.

David O’Hara, Marketing, Sales & Development Director at Royal & Derngate said: We’re always thrilled and appreciative of how generous the people of Northamptonshire are during this campaign, and last year’s appeal was our best yet. Now with some really fantastic Christmas shows for the children to look forward to, we’re really hoping everyone will support us again to help make this year bigger and better than ever!
