Our Summer 2017 season

Through the Summer and into Autumn, we offer a bumper crop of top touring shows, an ambitious programme of in-house productions, great music from the world of pop and classical, and some of the biggest names in comedy.

Our Made In Northampton season offers John Steinbeck’s epic story The Grapes Of Wrath and a unique theatrical walking tour at Sixfields Stadium, The 12th Player, with Harold Pinter’s The Caretaker newly announced for the Autumn. Visiting drama includes Edward Fox in Sand In The Sandwiches, Peter James’ thriller Not Dead Enough and Willy Russell’s Shirley Valentine.

Among the great selection of musicals are The Addams Family and Legally Blonde, with tickets already on sale for Mamma Mia, Shrek and The Band in 2018. The theatre’s orchestral season brings with more concerts by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, in a varied music programme that also includes the singers Beverley Knight and Heather Small.

The acclaimed Richard Alston Dance Company also returns this Autumn. The top class comedy line up features gigs by Omid Djalili, Al Murray, Joel Dommett and Henning Wehn. Family entertainment includes Ben And Holly’s Little Kingdom and the classic tales of The Railway Children and The Tiger Who Came to Tea.

We also look forward to our Christmas productions – pantomime Aladdin starring, our Made In Northampton production of The Jungle Book and the newly announced The Singing Mermaid for Under-7s.
