Welcome to our 2018/19 season of home-grown Made in Northampton productions.
In September the season opens with The Lovely Bones, a play adapted by Bryony Lavery from Alice Sebold’s ground-breaking novel directed by Melly Still. In October Joe Simpson’s memoir Touching The Void is dramatised by David Greig and directed by Tom Morris. Our Christmas shows are The Worst Witch, based on Jill Murphy’s much-loved series and bought to the Royal stage by Emma Reeves and Theresa Heskins while Julia Donaldson returns to our Underground Studio with The Everywhere Bear.
In January I direct the UK Premiere of Olivier Award-winner Katori Hall’s new play Our Lady Of Kibeho and the season will end with an adaptation by Barney Norris of Nobel Prize winner Kazuo Ishiguro’s The Remains Of The Day, directed by Christopher Haydon.
We look forward to welcoming you to Royal & Derngate soon.
