We are looking for members of our local community to help drive change and bring new ideas and initiatives to Royal & Derngate.

The People’s Panel will be made up of people representing the town and county, and will champion, support and scrutinise the work of Royal & Derngate to help steer its direction over the coming years.

Everyone is eligible to apply – we are looking to bring together the most diverse group possible and so will try and make the recruitment process as accessible as possible to all. We are particularly looking for people from communities that may not have engaged with Royal & Derngate in the past, but can bring some ideas of how we might work together. We hope to establish a group that is representative of the local area and so will also very much welcome interest from:

  • Young people (aged 16-25)
  • People with disabilities
  • Neurodivergent people
  • People from varied cultural backgrounds and languages
  • LGBTQ+ people

All participants will be remunerated for their time.

If you are keen to have a say in how your local theatre is run we would love to hear from you.

How To Apply:

To apply, please submit either a written, audio or video piece (of no more than 500 words or three minutes), telling us:
