Generate Artist Support Programme

We are dedicated to helping emerging and professional artists in the
area develop their craft; whether that be through mentorship sessions, scratch nights or just
sitting down for a chat about the industry.

In November we hosted our first online digital festival Gen Fest that highlighted the work of 13 local artists and two theatre companies that we have been supporting over the last year. Click here to find out more about the festival.

We’re always on the look out for emerging or professional artists in the area who are seeking support. For more information, email [email protected]

Our Young Company and Youth Theatre are continuing their sessions!

Our Creative Learning team have been busy since lockdown back in March supporting a variety of different online weekly groups, reaching almost 200 young people.

This includes online Musical Theatre groups, Actor Training courses and an innovative new NextGen: Lighting Design programme using specially designed 3D software of our Royal stage for those interested in a technical theatre.

Our Actors Company at home

Despite being apart, our Actors Company are still meeting regularly on Zoom to rehearse a brand new musical retelling of The Wizard Of Oz, Follow The Yellow Brick Road, that will be made into an animated film in collaboration with Megan Lucas.

This show is being devised and directed by Erica Martin and composed by Amy Jones. To your left, you can watch Amy perform one of the songs being developed for the show.
